"Godfrey" like tour on St. Maarten - have our own agenda

We are on Mariner in June and would like to custom our own tour (trip to French side, Marigot, Orient Beach, then Everything's Cool). Does anyone know if there are any companies (maybe similar to Godfrey in St. Thomas) who will do this kind of tour? Would it work to just ask a taxi driver?

The SXM taxi association has their own dispatch area right at the cruiseship docks - look for the signs. Approach one of the dispatchers and ask him to direct you to a cab willing to do a customized tour. Be sure to agree on price with the driver. (There are various prices posted for destinations and set tours - you might want to look at them to get an idea of how much you can expect to pay).
