How early can we board the ship in Whittier?

Thinking of getting to Whittier early (11ish) to take a Glacier cruise before leaving on our Princess cruise. We're not taking the train or have Princess transfers. Would like to drop off our luggage in our cabin before going on the glacier cruise. How early can we get on the ship to do that?

Cabin access is never that early. Simply have your bags properly tagged and leave them at the drop off. If you are taking a PWS boat tour, then likely you will not have any time to board and leave the ship. When I've gone with Princess (not recent but 2015) boarding didn't even start until afternoon, (with people lined up- real early for some reason???) I always see people waiting to board when I'm getting off ships in either Whittier or Seward, They've got long waits.
