Chocolate Cowboy

I know you mean well, BUT, Clarence prefers to be called Cowboy and wears a pin on his uniform that says Cowboy along with his official NCL uniform name pin. I will always call him by the moniker he prefers. He has told me to do so.

I read the post you quoted to be correcting the spelling of Clarense (with an S rather than a C), rather than referring to the nickname.

Are you sure about that?

On the transatlantic he kept appearing all over the place. I think there were about 3 or 4 of him onboard. :)

Yup. We didn't do the transatlantic but we saw him everywhere on the Getaway and Escape. He always remembers us and what we like. Love that man.

The dude is awesome! One of the people i pointed out in our post cruise surveys.

I hope Clarence is able to stay a staple on the Escape, especially being that she is moving to NYC in 2018.

Just got off Escape, in fact I'm sitting at MIA as I write this. Yes Clarense is at 5 o'clock somewhere bar and he was quite happy to be called by name or by Cowboy. He shared how he got the nickname and is the best no questions asked. He is going with Bliss to Alaska in April but should be back on the Carribbean runs by end of 2018. Take the time to get to know some about him. You won't be disappointed. He's a wonderful guy and absolutely made the trip for us. Deck 8 is a nice change from the rest of the ship too.

If someone can find out for sure the time frame for Chocolate Cowboy's stint on Bliss that would be great. I convinced my wife to book another cruise and I am 100% getting on the same boat as the Cowboy. He literally made my trip this past cruise and my first and only with NCL. He is for sure the reason I will be sailing with them again. If someone sees this I believe he is off until April but not 100% sure. That was just the last I knew when I talked to him on our last night on the cruise. Thanks ahead of time if anyone happens to get the info.

We have spent many cruises with Clarense and keep in touch occasionally. He has an amazing personality and does his absolute best to entertain passengers who frequent his bar. We spent one night, long after the bars had closed, sitting around chatting and he has such an heartwarming story to tell people about his life back in Honduras and his son. We will be seeing him again on Saturday when we board the Escape - he has a drink already waiting for us :)

was on his last week in January. Said he will be joining the Bliss and believes it will be a 8-10 month contract

We are the Feb 24th sailing. I have sent him an email to see if he is still on board, since a couple of posts here indicate he is moving to the Bliss and may be on a well deserved break.

When last we saw him, he was at the Sugarcane Mojito Bar or the 5 O'Clock Somewhere Bar, on the Waterfront.

Really hope he is still there!!

Well I met CC about 6 yrs ago on Epic He was running the Posh Bar. He made me and my husband many a frozen mohito. Much much fun. Then a few years later ran into him on another ship in the casino. When we yelled out CC he said ohh don’t call me that here they don’t like it. LOL well 18 cruises haven’t seen him again but I am on Escape in April and Bliss June so hopefully our paths will cross again.
