Princess Cay Excursion

There is no access to the rest of the island from where Princess Cays is. Last time we were there we heard a guy in the gift shop trying to talk the shop clerk into driving him around. There are several shops in the Princess area, and there are some locals selling T-shirts and shells and such just behind the fence as you step off the tender - bring an ID with you to step into that area, as they have a guard. We were there in November and a guy brought his own fishing gear, and you can rent snorkel gear and floats and noodles as well.

Check again to make sure there are no excursions offered - with a captive audience, the cruise line wants to take as much of your money as you'll give them, so I can't imagine they won't have something set up to offer you. We're traveling there next month on a Princess ship, and our choices through the cruise line include a Banana Boat ride, ocean kayak rental and stand up paddleboard rentals, aqua bike and paddle boat rentals, surf-fishing, guided clear-bottomed kayak ride or glass-bottom boat ride, coastal cruise, Hobie sailboat rental, snorkel trip (by boat), dune buggy tour, a stingray encounter, and a scenic drive.

The Carnival Ecstacy is not offering any excursions on the day we are there. Does anyone know what you can do besides lay on the beach? Do they rent jet skis or parasail or anything like that? Are there any excursions you can book from this Island? Thank you.

The Pride offered several excursions (I think it took a while for them to show up), but we enjoyed having a short time just laying on the beach. We went over the bridge to the smaller section. It still had restrooms and a food pavilion but was a lot more quiet and we had shade trees. Napped under the trees, had a light lunch (would probably skip the lunch next time), and a little time in the water then we were ready to catch an early tender back.

We had excursions booked at our other two ports, so it was nice to have a budget day. On the quiet side of the island there was a lady selling local goods (possibly some mass produced, but looked more local than the busy side) and several people took their own snorkeling equipment. Be sure to bring water shoes as it is quiet rocky.

You were actually able to book these online before the cruise? We too are going to Princess Cays but on Carnival and it's odd that they do not have the aqua bikes or the banana boat ride listed under excursions.

Yes, WeLuv, those were all options for us to book online prior to the cruise in the weeks and months before our cruise. We are cruising Princess, though - not Carnival. One would think that if they have all the "toys" available, though, they'd be an option for any cruisers they could squeeze a nickel out of, right? I hope they end up being an option for you!

We just did the EleutheraTours excursion to Lighthouse last week Here's my review from Tripadvisor

"We were on Royal Princess with a stop at Princess Cays. We decided to find an excursion away from the cruise crowd and this was it. Donald picked up our group at meeting place just outside Princess Cays. The road up to Lighthouse beach is rough and rocky. Donald's drove our group up on his 4wd pickup. His daughter meet us at the Lighthouse Beach area and gave us a tour of the beach and Lighthouse. The beach was wonderful. There were at the most 10 people on the large beach. It felt like we have to beach to ourselves. Donald and his daughter provided us drinks (water, lemonade and rum punch) and a lunch cooked over a fire. We had a choice of fish, conch, chicken and veggies. They had a nice table set up for us to have our lunch and also provided masks, snorkels and beach chairs under the palms. If you want to get away from the crowds and relax on a almost private beach, this is the right excursion. Thank you to Kristel and Donald for providing us an amazing experience!"

The last time we went to Princess Cays (March 2017), we could book everything, including a pool noodle, online ahead of time. Now there are no options to prebook for our November cruise. My guess is that the island is still offering all the goodies, but maybe you have to get them when you are on the island and use your cruise card to purchase at that time? Has anyone sailed there recently since the pre-booked excursions haven't been offered? Thanks for any help.

Pretty sure you're simply too far out for excursions to be avail.....keep trying, starting in August or so....

The excursions have been open for quite a while. We're booked in all of the other ports - but there aren't any listed for Princess Cays. I think we booked the others in March. That's why I'm curious if there are no more pre-bookings for things on the island. ??
