how strenuos is strenuous

WE are booked on the Constellation for the Oct. 19th sailing of Spain, Italy and France. So many of the tours are listed as strenuous. Our little group has a mix of abilities. Can you be more specific in the distance from the buses in Florence and some of the other ports? It would be great to get a first hand account from someone who has done it too. And will we be in Toulon or Su Mer?
