Mahogany Bay

What did you think of Mahogany Bay ?:cool:

Just walked from the ship. We used the chairlift to get to the public beach. Nice beach with free loungers.

We just walked around -- we are no longer beach people.

After checking out the place, headed back to the ship and sat out on our verandah.

It is nothing to rave about. The younger people like it.

Horrible beach - avoid if at a possible.

We don't get off the ship here. Carnival built the port and the only thing there is Diamond International and shops. There are few vendors way down on the right but not many. We are not shoppers.

First time there we took the cable car for $5@, I hoped to snorkel but there weren't really any fish. We were brought up at LI beaches, live about maybe 10 minutes from the beach in NC so going to a beach is no big thing for us.

This is a boring stop for us.

You should go to the west end of the island to snorkel. The reef there is the best in the Caribbean. It is part of the same system that is off Belize, but the water is much clearer.

Before Mahogany Bay was built we would always go to Tabyanna Beach. We were on the 2nd ship to ever stop there and at Tabyanna it was like snorkeling in an aquarium there were so many fish!

The beach at Mahogany Bay is fine for a beach day if you don't want to shorkel.

We've been any times when we had to dock in Coxen Hole so rather enjoy the convenience of the beach at Mahogany Bay. :D
