The Most Important Ship Tour? Yes the “Galley Tour” Bar None.

Recommended Posts

Yes

Why?

Because I like to see where my food is cooked.

I get to check the kitchen for cleanliness.

I get a first hand look at food handling and food preparation.

I can ask culinary questions prior to the start of the cruise for recommended dishes.

Good way to meet the Head Chef and assistant cooks.

Do not miss the galley tour by golly.

On Princess it is the last sea day and part of the demonstration by the Executive Chef and Maitre 'd.

There is no charge

This is usually lots of fun too.

OP - In my estimation the Ultimate Ship Tour on Princess ships is by far the most important tour. It is pricey ($150 per person) but you receive almost that much worth of swag in addition to spending 3+ hours seeing the operations areas of the ship and meeting officers in each area (https://www.princess.com/news/backgrounders_and_fact_sheets/factsheet/Ultimate-Ship-Tour.html).

Ok, this is probably what I was thinking of for the cost.
