Rio tour guides

Anyone have a great experience with a guide in Rio.

I just contacted one off TA for next Christmas/ New Years and he declined for that time of year.

We (a family group of 4 adults) used Tour Guide Gus last year for a day of touring. He is a fantastic guide and a very interesting gentleman with excellent English. He (and his driver) got us around town without hitting lots of traffic and we didn't have to stand in any lines at all (that is almost unheard of!).

We used https://www.dobrazilright.com/ along with a number of others on our recent cruise. They were great, very professional. We had a three day tour and Carnaval tickets and transfers. We saw all the attractions including a local street party, the botanical gardens, Sugarloaf, Christ the Redeemer, the famous beaches etc. They have several options and Marcelo speaks great English.

I am just starting to research Rio tour guides vs doing it on our own.

In Rio I would not do it on your own.

I would be with a guide who can get you to the key places and ensure you don't end up in unsafe areas.
