Best place for a Cuban sandwich??

Hi there! Hubby and I grew up in Tampa, FL, surrounded by the Cuban community. Fast forward a lot of years and we are now in Oklahoma, having lived 20 years in Texas. We dearly miss Cuban sandwiches, and just anything on Cuban bread. A French baguette is just not the same! Is there a place near the port we could hit after our excursion? I've looked online and found a few possibilities, but thought maybe someone might have a suggestion based on experience!

TIA,

Donna

I have friends who were born in Cuba. (Mary Hemingway helped them to escape the island when Castro came into power) When they go to Key West they go here ---> https://www.elmesondepepe.com/

For this --->

Cayo Hueso Cuban Mix (Available all day)

10-best-logo.jpgKey West's version of the traditional Cuban Sandwich, served with all the trimmings: sugar glazed ham, roast pork, Swiss cheese, pickles, lettuce, mustard, tomatoes & mayonnaise on crispy pressed Cuban bread

I like the coconut-crusted Key West pinks.
