Izumi Hibachi restaurant on the Allure

I have a 5 pm reservation on embarkation day at the Izumi Hibachi restaurant on the Allure. My other option is the Windjammer because the MDR conflicts with the show that night. I will be dining alone and am a little apprehensive of the atmosphere at the Izumi. What is the restaurant like? Would I enjoy the Windjammer more?

If I was dining alone, I'd prefer Izumi hibachi as they would be seating me with a group around the grill, as opposed to sitting at a table by myself in WJ.

Bob is absolutely right...as usual! If you are dining alone, Izumi Hibachi is perfect because you are sitting with a group of people and everyone usually introduces themselves and chats as the meal is prepared.

If you like sushi, I'd eat at the bar and talk to the sushi chefs. But if you want hibachi, it looked interactive and fun. It's hard to get into hibachi, if you want to do that, it will be great.

Hibachi is the way to go. You will have an amazing meal and a good show to go along with it. Everyone is usually very friendly.

We did the Hibachi meal on Allure a few weeks ago. The chef was very entertaining and it was fun. Food was OK but not great. Glad we tried it but wouldn't go back.

If you get some tablemates who are willing to include you in the conversation you should have a good time. I think there were 10 people total at our table.

Hibachi is way more fun than sitting alone in the WJ. We had a great chef and a fun table. Everyone introduced themselves and had a great time. Service was outstanding and food good.

Next time, we will try the Sushi Bar....
