Where is a good parking lot for a six day cruise out of Tampa?

We sail out of Tampa very often. There is a parking ramp garage across the street from the terminal. You can drop off your luggage first at the terminal and then go park and it costs $15 per day. We always do Valet parking and it costs $20 per day. You go into the Valet parking line at the terminal and a porter will come and take your luggage. An attendant will give you a Valet ticket and you go and pay at the Valet desk right by where you take the escalator up to boarding. I think there are cheaper options, but I don't know about them. If you Google the Port of Tampa parking, some of those options come up. You may need to be shuttled back to the terminal.

How long does it take to get the car after the cruise?

Several hotels and motels will let you park and have a shuttle to the port. A few were free if you stayed there pre or post cruise but most charged. One I stayed at charged $6 per day in 2017. Another was free in 2016.

Your car will be parked in a lot about 20 yards from the terminal exit.

You give the ticket to the valet and they fetch your car and load your luggage.

Five minutes from the time you exit the terminal and you're gone.
