How Late Can One Book a Hurtigruten Cruise?

We're coming into Antwerp on a freighter (Rickmers Jakarta) late September 2017. Looking for ways to kill some time before our return cruise from Southampton on October 29, 2017 (RCI Independence of the Seas).

Thinking of booking a Bergen-Kirkenes-Bergen round trip early October once we port in Antwerp (who knows when, exactly?).

Question: Could we call Hurtigruten and book on the phone? If so, how short a notice do they need for booking? 72 hours? More? Less?

Small ships with limited capacity - so the best cabins are selling out quickly.

They do have a departure everyday from Bergen, but ships are very, very different, so I'll recommend to do some research on the ships sailing beginning of October.

OI just checked and there is a cabin available for the departure today - price EUR 10.000 per person while booking now for October the price will be EUR 2.200 per person - already now man sold-out for October.

No - different ships and different cabin categories - just to illustrate that booking late can be very expensive.

But still very expensive - Just checked current prices for the 12 days cruise - sold out until Wednesday - the Expedition Suite at 7 692 € pp - lowest price is August 24 - Polar Inside at 2 107 € pp
