Do I need to reserve times for my time dining like you do on royal?

To be clear, you do not need to make a reservation with RCI. You can if you wish or just show up. Making a reservation just assures a time without a wait. Same option with Celebrity - you can make reservations if you want to or just show up to be seated. And similar to RCI, there may be a short wait for your table of choice without a reservation.
