Drinks and snacks

Newbie here again with another question.

Are you limited to staying in the bar area after buying a drink or can you go anywhere on board with the purchased drink? Same question for food: you have to stay in dining area e.g. the buffet or can you wander round with snacks in hand?

Hi there

No restrictions. You can drink your beverages where you want, and the same with your food.

People will often bring snacks to their cabin "for later". There is room service offered, but some just can't be bothered and find it easy enough to go to the buffet and arrange their own in room dining.

hope this helps

have a great cruise

I do agree with Nic re: taking snack to room. If you bring on your allotted 1 bottle each of wine, you can grab some cheeses and fruit on a plate and put in your room fridge to be available when you feel like a private wine and cheese break!

You can wander at will with food and drink, although they frown on bringing food into the main theater and comedy club.:p

i usually bring in popcorn from the dive in movies to the comedy club and main theater. no one said anything to me. I even seen a few people bring in plates of food to the main theater and no one said anything to them. so i guess it depends on the cruise staff that is manning those areas and its up to them to judge it.

Carnival cannot offer loose chips and snacks due to health restrictions. To many hands in the mix.

during the late night buffet at the lido buffet area, around 11:30. they have loose potato chips, you are suppose to use the utensils they provide to put in a bowl/plate. i don't want to know how many people don't follow this. i saw workers put a HUGE bag of lays potato chips in those serving trays

Never seen that. And have done and seen others do both.

Who's frowning anyway?

They'd like you to use plastic in the pool areas. Easy enough to transfer your drink from a glass at any pool bar.

You can get your food an drinks anywhere and go anywhere! No problem at all, just keep it on the ship.

Here is the beauty of it. Lunchtime, my wife wants a taco from Blue Iguana, I want a spicy curry from Tandoor, but we both want to eat inside at the Lido Buffet in the air conditioning and where the desserts are. Or if you want to get a fancy drink from Alchemy to drink in the casino, or meet your spouse at the Sports Bar, it all works out. Late night for the movies outside, you can grab a pizza.

I think the only real restrictions here, are that you cannot take fresh food or drinks off ship into port. A sealed breakfast box of cheerios and bottled water might be fine, but sandwiches, fruit, or open containers may cause a problem.

We pack cups with lids to pour our drinks into. This makes them more portable, plus you get the bonus of your cold drink staying cold. #drinkgoals [emoji6]b5bf3a1e93d66d3cf8f98210e7635887.jpg
