Suggestions for Exploring on our Own

Hi,

We really do not want to do the Sting Ray excursion. I have read comments that Georgetown is a safe area and easy to see on our own.

Would you have any suggestions on either a walking tour near the port or even short taxi rides to see things. I'll do a little more research on tripadvisor too.

We are leaving tomorrow and cruising on Saturday.

We often take the tender over to the tender pier and just walk around the downtown area. We will spend a few hours doing this. There is also shopping.

Some people will take the bus or a taxi to a beach.

Research the bus lines and routes....you can see a good deal of the island from the bus! Google Grand Cayman buses!

Renting a car and driving to the other parts of the island (such as Rum Point) is pretty easy and safe.
