Where to eat and what to do - San Pedro and Santa Monica

We are going on a Xmas Cruise from San Pedro to Mexico.

A couple of questions:-

1. We are staying at the DoubleTree in San Pedro the night before the cruise. Are there any local restaurants you were recommend?

2. We are staying in Santa Monica post cruise for 2 night one of which will be New Years Eve.

Any recommendations on what to do where to eat on New Year?

We enjoyed the Green Onion. It’s a Mexican restaurant! We also had dinner at San Pedro brewing. Enjoy your cruise! Our Panama Canal cruise ends in San Pedro in March and we are trying to figure a way to have lunch at the Green Onion before heading to LAX.
