Thanks for the fun review Jeff (and for the great pictures Patti)! We're sailing on the Glory in October. We generally cruise Princess, so we've been out of Fort Lauerdale many times! All of the other ports seem a bit "odd" for some reason! :D For the Glory, it will be Miami (haven't sailed out of there in years) so that will definitely be a different place.

We too have 9 future cruises (8 Princess & 1 Carnival -- we need to slide in another Carnival so we can finally hit Platinum). We're thinking about the Elation since it's local & we haven't sailed on it since the drydock. And, we'd like to go on it once more before they move it & bring in the Ecstasy.

Fair seas!! I'll be looking for future reviews!!

Thanks for reading! They did a great job on the Elation, so I think you will like her. We will be back on her in August.

Thanks Jamman for another great review. We did this cruise with our 4 kids over Thanksgiving last fall. The kids had a great time with a wonderful itinerary for parents(no needed excursions, just enjoyed the beaches and pools.)

That being said, I found the service to have gone down hill. Deli and Pizza Pirate were understaffed and slow. Workers did not have their usual cheery selves. Room attendant seemed overworked and did not do both morning and evening room checks as requested. (He may have misunderstood when I asked for both. I just wanted PM beds turned down, fresh towels after pool and beaches and towel animals.)

The bright spot was the MDR with a wonderful wait staff of "V" from India, "A" from ? and I've forgotten. They were wonderful.

Also seemed like a lot of entitled people on board as well. Could just have been the time of year. Still, a great time and good value for a family.

Thanks for reading! It is a great itinerary for sure. Happily, we didn't have any service issues. There always seems to be a line for pizza, but didn't see any lines at the deli when we passed by there. Perhaps the new deli menu with the pre-made sandwiches was the reason.

Jeff, I am an avid "review reader" of yours, however I never usually comment. I was really thrilled to read your review of the Conquest as my Husband and I are sailing on her in October. This will mine and his first cruise, so we are excited! Thank you kindly, for a fantastic sneak peek!

Awesome review! Thanks for such a positive view of Carnival. It is our favorite line as well. We also generally prefer to drive to our cruises, so it is nice to see other people driving! I was wondering why the Glory is your wife's favorite ship? And if you have a favorite ship? Love how you won big in the casino that night on the Paradise. So exciting.

Glad that you enjoyed the review! Patti likes the Conquest class ships and really likes the decor on the Glory. I like the Spirit class ships, especially the Pride.

We have Late Assigned Dining this cruise, which is in the Monet Restaurant, located on Decks 3 & 4 all the way aft. I had emailed the maitre’d prior to the cruise requesting a booth for two. That is what we received. We were given table # 417…..

Here are tonight’s menus…..

Our servers for this cruise were Sebastian, Glenn, and Marlon. These guys were terrific all cruise long! This is the Monet Restaurant…..

To be continued…..

I just discovered your review and it is wonderful! I had no.idea you could email ahead and request a booth for two! Thanks for the tip, we are sailing the Conquest later this week for our 25th anniversary. We are baby cruisers, this will be my 4th and his 3rd. We love Carnival!

Thanks for another great review and lots of great pictures! We just did the Dream out of NOLA over NYE and we loved leaving from NOLA. I really enjoyed being on the balcony while sailing the Mississippi both up and down the river.

Thanks so much for reading! We have never sailed from NOLA, but we will be doing a B2B2S from there in April of 2020. :D

I loved reading your review!!! We are sailing on the Conquest in a couple of weeks! Our last cruise was 2013. We are taking my husband's mother who is 83 and my father who is 74. My mother-in-law is calling it her bucket list cruise! My dad's nickname is Jam-Up, close to yours!

Question: Do you have any idea how much the raw oysters are each? It says Market Price

Sorry if you mentioned it earlier but what camera and lens does Patti use? Loved your review as I will be sailing the Conquest with this same itinerary but flipped in December (FLL, Nassau, HMC, Amber Cove, Grand Turk, Sea Day, FLL). Can't wait for you to sail more! In the meantime I will read your other reviews and check out your pics!
