How Many Days Prior to Boarding Will Pre-Booking Excursions Close?

We are 15 days from Sailing from Le Havre, FR. Went online today to book an

excursion for Edinburgh on Sept 7th and was unable to do so.

Do they usually close pre-booking this early?

Or is there possibly a glitch online today?

Thanks.

Possible glitch......

I am 5 days out (Caribbean) and they are still available to book today.

Are all your excursions not available?

Nothing is available.

They all say to "Book Onboard" or "Add to Wishlist".

I'll keep checking.

Thank you

Maybe due to it being a European cruise.

Dont think I have seen them closed out that far out from a cruise.

Looks like you will have to book onboard now.

The personalizer usually only allows printing of boarding passes and bag tags within 5 days of sailing.

To early to close all tour bookings. Check to see if tours are available for other ports. Edinburgh is a popular tour port and maybe all available tours are already booked. I would call Princess.

I have had my TA call Princess and the Prebooking for

Excursions is indeed closed.

That means it’s been closed 15 days prior to boarding!

I did not expect this and if it was mentioned in our documents, I missed it.

I was not expecting this and have been left with some plans unmade, that I was counting on.

Thought others planning these UK cruises with Princess should know!

I was shocked to find that I was unable to Pre-book Shore Excursions on-line after Monday Aug 13 for our Le Havre departure on Aug 28. I thought it was a website glitch but after having my TA place a phone call to Princess, it is indeed closed.

If it was printed in our cruise information, I missed it.

I realize a lot of folks don’t book cruise line excursions but there were a few things I wanted to have in place before we left Canada, especially for the tender ports.

15 days prior seems extreme to me but, oh well, lesson learned!

Try booking when you board.

I would wonder if the excursions are closed because they are sold out. Not unheard of on some popular cruise destinations. Hopefully that is not the case and your will be able to book onboard.
