The blog for our two nights from Southampton, England to Hamburg, Germany beginns.

For the 7th time we went again on NORWEGIAN JADE. Again with Sigi.

As the following day there should be six ships in town and also Queen Elizabeth II-Terminal should be used we need to stay overnight in Hythe.

We were curious to see the changes as we had many fond memories with Shirley and Godfrey here.

A beautiful morning with the arrival of my love and hate NAVIGATOR OF THE SEAS, MARINA, SILVER EXPLORER, NORWEGIAN JADE, AURORA, SILVER WHISPER.

On the bridge it could be Captin Kim but it looked like that he was fully concentrated to enter the terminal and did not see me on the other side.

Then I returned to have breakfast to celebrate Bruno's birthday. Elizabeth and Martin who run now The Maples Hotel arranged a nice birthday breakfast. Really a great place for shipspotters.

When we are in Southamton we access the taxi-services of Tony like this time again.

In the Ocean Terminal a very cordial welcome was wating: Omar knew us from NORWEGIAN SKY 2015.

It continued with Furtoso in the Cagney's. Now we knew everything will become good since we knew him since our first NCL Voyage on NORWEGIAN PEARL 2006.

Our suite in The Haven was more or less second-rate.

For the night Zekeriya made sure that a special birthday cake was made.

Shrimps over board... still 2 shrimps were missing in the shimp-cocktail which is advertised with 6 but we experienced again a perfect evening in the Cagney's due to the great team around I Nyoman, Valeria and Subhash.

Last not least for the night: Meeting again with Supernova Daniela and Supernova Sebastian whom we knew from NORWEGIAN SKY 2015.

Sometimes two nights with NORWEGIAN JADE are more than four nights with others.

24 hours on NORWEGIAN JADE is like the visit of a fountain of youth.

Unfortunately the only day at sea. You could easily notice people who are as cruise addict as you are like Nils of Kallis Shipworld.

In the Garden Café you could see many changes. But not Dave who recognized me immediately and offered me to prepare my favorite breakfast.

If King Kamehameha was not anymore onboard I had to take over his role. Meeting again with Joyce and Amor. In the evening the nice memories repeat we love NCL for: the attention of Assistant Maître D# liek Jenalyn.

It was to sorry to leave our Suite in The Haven. As great as Dinesh and Brian were taking care of us. In this oasis of peace we took also Daniela and Sebastian so we could have some words with them.

A very special thank to Jhony who arranged the Friends of Dorothy-Meeting in a lovely way: after 86 voyages we experience the first time that it was hosted.

Last not least: Captain Kim whom we know now for six years. Always nice to meet him.

The next day we arrive in Hamburg, Germany and it will be time again to say good-bye to a great ship with a wonderful crew.

But June 2018 we will be back on board again to check if the 2nd hand furniture exhibition should be dissolved.

Day 3 means arrival in Hamburg, Germany and to say good-bye to NORWEGIAN JADE. It started with a "Shiiiiit"-Weather (Hamburg-Pronounciation)...

Again bye to the great service-team in the Moderno: Genevieve, I Nyoman, Henrique, Rodel, Joaniss, Muhammad, Rachelle.

In front there were Omar, Vernessa, Subhash, Izaia and Furtosa to say good-bye.

Our butler Loy accompanied us to the bridge where Mirsad said bye too.

In the cruise terminal Shenny was already waiting for us to start with our anticipation for Baltic Sea voyagae on NORWEGIAN GETAWAY. She will be our Guest Service Manager.

Our way home took with to many friends - not anymore just landlords or employees or co-workers: Karl Heinz and Käthe in Salzgitter, Germany and later Dominik, Steffi, Juliane, Karin, Simone, Andrea, Selma, Rosa, Magdalena and Daniela in Goslar, Germany.

I need to announce a special appearance of Kirsten and Ralf. Our selfie did not come through. A good reason to go again together on a cruise.

The next blog starts with the voyage on NORWEGIAN GETAWAY in few weeks.

I hope that I can do the translation of the blog onf the voyage on NORWEGIAN JADE fall 2014. But the story of the crew-member there should be told for sure. It is worth!

And next year we will check if the 2nd hand furniture exhibition is still there.

The 2018 blog starts:

The 8th time on MY NORWEGIAN JADE.

The blog starts with the transfer in a Tesla X, a hotel room with a vies on NORWEGIAN JADE and certainly NORWEGIAN JADE itself.

The first time we had a Penthouse 9000 with a view over the bow.

Again with great crew-members like Mia, Carlos, Cheika, Petar, Suresh, Jade, Valeria, Gina, I Putu.

And also very nice fellow-cruisers like Verena, Dennis, Nils, Jürgen, Janna and Jan Geerds.

Certainly one question was responded: one year after the drydock stay most furnitures were replaced but the renew was not completed yet.

I am back from the day at sea.

In the regular blog of NORWEGIAN JADE it continues:

Day 2 with the Meet & Greet of cruisecritic.com/kreuzfahrten-treff.de

NCL is my love and hates affair. It will go on. It does not work with her. But it does not without her either.

Everything will turn to the good because you will find new friends onboard.

Geirangerfjord, Norway, Glacier Bay National Park, AK, the river Elbe from Wedel, Germany to Hamburg, Germany!

In one breathe?

Day 3 is the arrival in Hamburg and therefore it is the end of the Blog on NORWEGIAN JADE.

We had the right cabin. We missed only the lector who tells us the story around the river Elbe.

It was worth to wake up so early.

Actually, I liked only Hamburg, Germany to Southampton, England because the farewell-activities were so wonderful.

Southampton - Hamburg was so far somehow so boring: nobody was around to welcome somebody.

But now there was the sun which rose over Hamburg which made it extremely beautiful to arrive in Hamburg.

NCL did not do a good job! Moving us from Altona to Steinwerder and to exploit shamelessly the situation.

Sad, that there was always something to be upset. But those will be forgotten soon, but here is the blog.

It is only essential that the head remembers only the nice experiences. See you on VENTURA in October.
