Can you avoid the animals at Little French Key?

Without getting into a whole thing here, let's just say I am anti-zoo/caging wild animals.

Do you have to make an effort to see the animals or are they unavoidable?

Although I have a dog I do love, I really have no interest in other animals (I guess I can also say same about kids, which I do have LOL). We went to LFK in July and was a little annoyed we had to walk to each cage and hear about the animals, sorry, this doesn't interest me and I don't really care. Anyway, at one point, I said outloud, can we just go get our chairs if we want to, and my dh got annoyed so I stayed a minute or so more LOL Then I spotted where I wanted to lounge for the day, walked over and put my stuff there and told my dh to just go where I put our things. I went ahead, left my group, and found another group father along where they were showing us the rest of the island, which I'm glad I did so I got to quickly see what was around.

We plan on going back again in August and I am going to say thank you, I have been here before and politely excuse myself and go set up shop where I want to plop myself down for the day.

Hope this helps ;p

I'd rather see the animals and would also like to know if you can still swim with the jaguar ?

I believe Simba was removed from their care.

Though, the thread below has "Little French Key" not only saying some very nasty things to alnoth member but also suggesting Simba was never there. I tell ya these guys are not the sort of people I want to give my hard earned dollars to. I don't understand the personal attack coupled with G*d Bless. It just rings of so little caring for anyone or anything.

My own opinion, milage may vary. :0)
