Dawn ran aground while leaving Bermuda?

The Port Bermuda webcam FB page just reported that the Dawn ran aground just after leaving Bermuda. Has anyone else heard this?

I'm hoping that everyone's ok and they can get things cleared up shortly!

Marine traffic has her doing 0.0kn. Stopped with a beacon vessel called Crescent next to her.

Could be just boats launched with crew to get a better look at whatever the situation is?

I don't remember seeing a pilot. Faithful the tugboat usually welcomes the ships to port. Don't remember anything when departing.

IIRC they do take a pilot. The water around those reefs is REALLY shallow. Praying for everyone on board and the first responders.... hopefully this isn't more than minor damage.

I just heard about Dawn on our Boston local news. http://www.WCVB.com reported the U.S. Coast Guard says the ship is not sinking but has run aground.

Passenger on board has posted on FB that there are no lifeboats launched, I cannot confirm just relaying the info.

Bermuda is shaped like a hook so it is difficult to know for me

Could have hit a reef I guess. Not sure how far out they extend.

There are so many reefs and narrow channels around Bermuda. Tough island for ships in and out.

Liberty of the Seas is moving away from Bermuda at 18 Knots. I doubt they would be sailing away if there was real danger with the other ship.

Channel 5 in Boston just reported that the Dawn did run aground off Bermuda. They said that the coast guard is stating the ship is "NOT" sinking.

I did a search for Bermuda on Google Maps and switched to "Earth" view. Plenty of reefs around that island.
