Carnival Casino Free Cruise Offer

I just played carnival casino for a week and was told I have 70 quality points for playing the casino hold-em table.

this gave me I think 70 entries into the drawings.

I played 3-5 hrs / day for 7 nights on the cruise.

I did not get an offer for a free cruise and wanted to know why.

I might have done a few things negative for this.

I never cashed in chips but held until last day. I ended up winning $1500

many times I started betting low and doubled down later in plays.

I haven't heard of something called quality points. Entries in drawings are based on 100 points earned, but I am not sure based on your description what drawing you were entered or if a quality point is equal to 100 points. For earning points at table games, they record the time you start and what your buy in is. Starting with chips lets them put in a default amount, which is low. You should cash out your chips at the end of each session and buy in with cash...the more the better. They don't record when you buy additional chips as you play, although some people say they do. It only takes a bit of observation to see they don't.

To confirm what I had experienced and learned from casino staff, I started doing an experiment. I only play roulette for the same bet every spin and around the same amount of time each 7 day cruise. I used to buy in with $200 and would earn the free interior cabin bounceback offers. Then I started buying in with $1000, but only playing with $200. I would cash in the $800. Instead of earning the drinks card (3,500 points) on the 4th day, I would get it on the first day. On the 3rd day, I asked the host how many points I had and was told, "Don't worry, you already earned a free cruise (at least 5,000 points)." The bounceback offers became free oceanview offers. The premier cruise offers went from reduced price to free cabin premier cruises. So, don't start a session using chips. Buy in with cash.

thx for the response and the hint to cash in each night.

I am pretty sure 1 quality point = 1000

so I should have around 70,000

I got the free drink offer my second night just as I sat down.

I think they go by how many hands you play and since I played a lot solo on my table, I got a lot of hands turned over. (they count the hands by the cards holder has a laser on it)

as I said I played a lot of hours each night. I posted 3-5 hrs/night but it was probably 5-7 hrs

I think I may get some offer in the mail and will post back if so.

Total casino newb here. I'm only on my 4th cruise coming up and the casino intimidates me. Do the points accumulate due to the amount of chips you buy or how much you bet or both?

Points from table games are based on size of wagers and time at the table. Formula then cranks out number of points based on your theoretical loss for the session. Some tables have leds at the dealer that keep track of number of hands played but I do not know if this is for tracking dealers or for calculating points.

Your buy ins and cash outs (chips in hand when you walk away) are entered into the player tracking computer - not for points but to facilitate a win / loss statement.

How much are you betting per spin?

When did you receive the "don't worry you got a free cruise" offer? The flyer they gave us under the door on debark day was for $25-2XX interior rooms with on board credit.

I don't want to jump on these offers if I should expect something in the mail or more offers once the two week period is over..

I was just on the Magic and on the very 1st night I was talking to a guest playing the slot machine next to me and that person already had 5000 points. This was at like 9pm on sail away day. How do you earn that many points so fast? Huge bets or big wins? I had like 2700 points when I got off the ship. When I was at the cage on the last night , the lady behind me said she had lost over $8000.

The points are basically a math calculation on the slots. It’s all about how much money you run thru the machine. Keep in mind that max bet is really high on some slot machines. There are people playing for $10, $20, or $30 per spin on the slots. So they are earning points much faster than someone who is betting $0.50 per spin. Also, if I put $100 is the machine and I win $1000, and then I keep, playing with that $1000, that counts as $1100, not as $100.

I try to sneak a peak at my neighbor’s points sometimes and it’s not unusual to sit next to someone with 50,000 points halfway thru a 7 night cruise.

Some people say that they also keep track of the number of hours you spend in the casino, but if I’m just sitting at a machine talking to someone and not playing, I’ve personally never seen my points go up. They might keep track of how long I’m playing, but I think I’m on,y earning points when I push that spin button.

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO lorddog: Some things you left out. Did you give your players card to the dealer at the table? If not, they are not able to track your play. Starting low may be a factor since some casinos won't count your play until you make a certain threshold. There is a formula for how much the house could earn theoretically based on the amount of money you start betting with and the length of time you were at the table. Your overall play may not have made the threshold.

Sailed on a Carnival 12//18/17 which was a "free" cruise,as of many, code was 01V. Got a new one same code It DOESN'T say free cruise any more, was told they changed things mid Nov. anyway called to book a inside single now the quote was $600.00. I find the only cruise that will sill be "FREE" one is a Premier and or a Ultra

It is possible that the player with high early points. Carried over their points from a previous cruise. They did not cash in their play from the previous cruise. The host added these un-redeemed points to the current cruise.

Did they change the points calculation on slots? I lost a little over 800 on slots (pretty much didn't hit anything so not a lot of coin-in) and only had about 650 points on slots at the end of the cruise. I thought it was $1 per point on slots and $2.50 per point on video poker/BJ. I played 6 sessions of blackjack and won about 1500 and lost around 800 on poker and another ~100 messing around on roulette one night.

I was betting big (compared to other players I saw) on BJ but didn't play more than a couple hours each time. Didn't get any offers or even any goodies from the casino other than DOU card on the second day. It's not a big deal and I'm not complaining as I was already on a casino offer and have a couple more offers booked. I was just kind of surprised that my play wasn't more appreciated as it didn't seem like there were many big players compared to other ships I'd been on. It's possible I annoyed the hosts by not playing a couple days, I think they have a lot of leeway. Equally as likely, they may not have even missed me. Again not complaining, had a good time and didn't lose much at all given I drank 20 or so drinks over the cruise.

Carnival uses $2.50 coin in per point on slots and $5 on video poker. No idea how theos on tables equate to points - it is one of the mysteries of the world. When you are ready to book another Carnival cruise go to oceanplayersclub.com and use the web form to ask about comps available to you. I did it last year and received a call back the next business day and discussed several possible sailings with "free" interiors (port fees, taxes, gratuities). George
