Which South Pacific Islands have you been to on a cruise ship??

Savu Savu, Fiji ~

We have been to all the ones you have plus Wala (loved it) :) and Luganville (great snorkelling). We have always been lucky to go to Vila on every cruise and we have been to Mystery Island and Isle of Pines enough. Great places but not to go their too many times

I forget one Island:

Niuafo'ou (Tin Can Island), Tonga (missed, as the caption did not know that we where meant to go around it :rolleyes: )

We've been to Port Vila 4, Isle of Pines 3, Noumea 3, Wala, Dravuni, Suva, Yasawa-i-rara, Ouvea 2, Mystery Island 2 + 2 missed, and not forgetting the Whitsundays. Hoping to get to Champagne Bay and Pentecost sometime.

the yasawas, dravuni, levuka,suva,lautoka,savu savu, denarau island....all Fiji. (supposed to go to rotuma island years ago, but the locals said no to our ship..)

vava'u, nukualofa, and cruised around niuafo'ou.......all Tonga

poum-emerald bay, hieghene,isle of pines,lifou,ouvea,noumea.....all New Caledonia.

vila, luganville,mystery island, champagne bay, pentecost island., wala.....all Vanuatu.

pago pago.....American Samoa.

apia.....Western Samoa.

Loved them all, especially Pentecost and Wala.

Where is the great snorkelling in Luganville, Molly Doble? We went there on our first cruise when we knew nothing. :p We just looked around the town in the morning and Phil did the WWII tour in the afternoon while I stayed on the ship. We go back next October.

this has been intriguing- we've done the Hawaiin Islands and the Tahitian ones by cruise ship, but how do you find ships for Fijian islands and some of those others mentioned. Who's sailing the more obscure island waters? In Fiji or some of the others off the beaten track- where did you find the best snorkeling? This was a really interesting thread. Thanks for starting it.

small ps- I should have been more clear, I'm not familiar with the P&O line, is it something that only sails out of Australia or something you can pick up while in the South Pacific islands? Ever see any Americans joining in?
