Taxi rank status on busy port days...?

We disembark on a Sunday in May in Barcelona from our little ship with 600 pax. Also turning around that day, Norwegian Epic & a Something of the Seas. For a total of disembarking pax that morning of 7,000 souls. We need to be at our Barcelona hotel by 9:30 to catch our countryside wine tour group.

I was planning on just grabbing a cab from the taxi rank. Until I figured out how many people are getting off that am.

Thoughts?

As you leave the building after leaving the ship each terminal area has a taxi rank. When we arrived on the Crown a Holland America and 2 MSC ships were in.

We took longer to disembark due to problems with gangways. Once off we were in a taxi and away.

The shuttles, coaches and taxis are easy to aim for straight out of the door of the building. When we were there a man sorted passengers into taxis so no queue jumping.
