Last time I was in Nassau I bought some jerk spice- it came in a bottle with a label (which has now fallen off so I can't tell you the name!) but it was like a small coke bottle in shape and was a deep red color spice, about 8 ounces or so... OMG it's great! I use it on chicken, beef, pork, even eggs!

EDIT** I meant to mention I bought this at the straw market in Nassau- exit the port, turn right and go straight, it's on the right side of the road.

I was wondering if there was any kind of foods anyone would suggest to buy at any local stores. I want to try fun foods. I know in Mexico it could be fun to do that but did not know about Bahamas

Make sure you try some conch fritters while you are there. I always get an order from somewhere. And yes, these are for eating there.
