Timing for Little French Key

We are sailing on Caribbean Princess in May and will be in port from Noon till 7:00PM. We would like to go to LFK, but with the off/limited port times we were not sure is we should try. How much travel time should we allow to and from LFK? How late is LFK open? What is the latest we should depart LFK to get back to the ship. Will this leave us with enough time to enjoy the day there? Any help/opinions will be appreciated.
