British Isles / Princess Cruisetour

We have just booked a Princess Cruise/ landtour for July of 2019.(Ring of Kerry) Is there anyone out there that has done this one, or is about to this coming Fall of 2018?

Questions:

1. Is it worth it to do the Ireland land tour on the front side of the cruise?

2. Is it better to have an extra day in Dublin?

3. Has anyone done the cruise, and then added on extra day(s) in England, or France?

4. Anyone gone to the Military Tattoo? Is it worth it?

Any advice, experience is welcomed!

First of all, for the Princess specific info, ask over on the Princess board, here:

"Worth it" is a totally subject opinion, and what is ""worth it" for you may not interest me at all. Very difficult for us to answer.

Europe is so easy to travel in, we would never consider paying someone to take us around, we would travel on our own. Very likely to be cheaper and more efficient. I am in favor of one day, small group private tours. But not multi day medium to large group tours.

CruiserBruce has given you excellent advice as usual.

I just wanted to comment about the Military Tattoo. It was a wonderful experience and something that my wife and I will remember for the rest of our lives and I highly recommend it.

Thanks to you all for getting back expeditiously!

We are tentatively booked on July 20, 2019 Princess British Isles Cruisetour...the only thing I see that I would consider changing is....the number of days spent in Dublin vs. the 24 hours plus in Edinburgh?

We are weighing the importance of 2 days in Dublin, to the extra time in Edinburgh for the Military Tattoo?

Any thoughts out there?

Thanks

We are doing the land tour first, starting with Limerick, and ending in Cork. We transfer to Heathrow to embark @ Southampton. We have a 12 day cruise (Ring of Kerry) tacked on at the end of the trip. If we have time, we will try to squeeze in an extra day in London. My husband really wants to see the war museum there.

Thanks for all of your input!
