Aruba at Night

Port area is very safe.

Across the street and a short walk are lots of stores, restaurants and also casinos.

We walk around downtown at night. As long as you stay in the well lit areas you'll be fine. Just use the same precautions that you would use at home. You can walk for several miles along the main road along the waterfront. They've completed a nice paved walking and biking path. However, there isn't a lot to do downtown at night. There are some good restaurants and a couple of casinos. All of the shops close at 6:00. If you want to shop, go before then, or take the bus or a taxi to Palm Beach. That is where the action is at night.

We will be in Aruba 8am-10pm. Want to be on a beach for sunset. Do Eagle and Palm Beach face West? Sorry, I am very directional challenged!

Both beaches face the same direction, West :). And they are perfect for sunset....if the weather cooperates.

Did the Kukoo Kunuku when I was in Aruba in May. Believe I was in port from 11 am to 11 pm. This tour started around 5 and ended around 10.

Had a lot of fun. Champagne toast at sunset overlooking the beach. Drinks at every stop. Dinner was included . .. . A real party atmosphere. Nice way to see some of the island as the sun goes down into the night.

No the drinks were not top shelf and the dinner was not gourmet but it was memorable fun.

Was this thru the ship? can we bring our 17y.o. or is it only for adults? (I know he couldn't drink; just wondering if they have a price for minors).

The excursion was through the ship but essentially the ship served as a booking agent for them . . . . Which was cool because we had a ton of shipboard credit and was able to use it. This was on Celebrity.

You can also book independently I believe, however we had a full trolley load from the ship and they had a second trolley from another ship and a third trolley for folks residing on the island.

For the night time event it is a minimum age of 18, probably due to the bar visits.

It sounds like fun.

We are also in Aruba for an overnight so no worries about making it back to the ship on time.
