Evening room temps, Zuiderdam

We cruised the Carribean 3 or 4 years ago and I packed summer weight, sundresses for dinner attire, and FROZE! So a question for those of you just off the Zuiderdam, will I need a layer over dresses/tops to be comfortable? TIA

Yes, you will probably need a light shawl for your best comfort in the evening. You can purchase these items on the ship if you find you need a little more cover-up.

Though watch out for the Baltic cruise onboard shops - they were selling cashmere shawls for $3000! (I think this was a Russian run franchise) Typically you can pick up something for US$10 as a back-up if you need something extra just to break the chill.

I think you can find Pashmina shawls, real wool ones, for around $25.00 or so. My wife has several that we will be taking with us on our trip coming up.

We were on the Zuiderdam in December. I took a couple of nice dressy light weight sweaters and needed them in the evening. I also brought a light weight shawl.

Just off the Zuiderdam. There were times a sweater was needed in the evening, times it wasn't. Just be prepared and carry something with you.

I always pack a shawl not knowing how the temperatures will be in the various areas of the ship.
