I just copied this information into a document to share. The information is from a few years ago but most still applies.

I highly recommend renting a car and exploring. The document contains a map of a possible route.

On Cunard Caronia....we took a very interesting walking tour.

Also, we had lunch on land and enjoyed PEI Oysters fresh out of the water. WOW!

If you can try the fresh seafood restaurants.

We hired a taxi for 3 hours ($20 per hour in 2015) and went to Cavendish in the morning then walked around near the port for an hour or so in the afternoon. All the best, Tony

Did you pre-arrange for the taxi or just walk off the ship and find one? Thanks.

We just walked out of the port terminal and there were 2-3 cars waiting. However I had a massive senior moment (and I'm not that old) in my first post - it cost $60 per hour in 2015 so $180 plus tip.

Many years ago we took a cruise on Cunard and we arranged the ship board excursion.

I can't remember the name of the tour but it consisted of Period Dressed Tour Guides that lead a Historic Walking tour that also visited the different Buildings around.

They were very good never leaving their character....very professional....

Is this cruise port a dock port or a tender port? Thanks. I can't get anyone on the phone at NCL. I think the hurricane in HI is kicking some butt.
