Laundry on Discovery 1 ?

Recommended Posts

Unlike P&O I beleive you don't have those free to use laundry rooms on Discovery 1. What facilities are there or what is the sort of cost if you get it done for you on the ship? Management (Wife) is asking, as it could determine how much to pack as 20Kg is quite light.

Thanks

  • 2 weeks later...

Just returned from a great 18 night TA on Discovery 2.

We used the laundry, and found it very good.

There is a bundle deal as Davecttr says. It is £14.95 and allows you to fill the standard provided laundry bag, but it must be able to close once filled.

Other items individually:-

Shirt/polo/t shirt - £2.40

Blouses £2.40

Pyjamas £3.35

Nightgown £2.40

Dress £4.00

Skirt £3.00

Jeans £2.40

Trousers £2.70

Shorts £2.15

Underwear £0.85

Plus more

Those prices are for washed, dried and folded, and came back in excellent condition as clearly the driers are commercial heavy duty so no creases. If you do want the items pressed there is an additional charge e.g. trousers £1.80, shirt £1.70 etc

We found them good value and will use next time we are on a fly cruise, particularly of that length.
