We will be in Cozumel on Tuesday. We are a early 40's couple traveling without our children.... We like to have drinks and socialize.

So, which would be a better option for us? Or, are they similar enough that either option is about the same?

Thnx in advance

Nachi tends to be less crowded and quieter. Mr. Sanchos has an unlimited food buffet and is livelier..

Nachi is probably the most boring place in Cozumel.

I've always loved Sancho's. Reserve online or you can pay at the door. It's just lively enough to make it a good medium.

We went to Nachi the first time we were in Cozumel maybe 5 years ago. Earlier this year we went to Mr. Sancho's just to see what it was like. Liked it a lot. Yes, maybe more people but more places to get drinks and food and if I remember correctly, a larger variety on the menu. Because we didn't have enough food on the ship. hahahah We did reserve it online ahead of time for both resorts.

It's an unlimited menu. Buffet is fairly lame. IMHO.

Booking online is also cheaper as I recall.

Didn't know the menu was unlimted. I believe Nachi allows 2 apps, 1 entree, and 1 dessert. We can never finish it all.

Unlimited is nice because if you don't like it, ask for something else.

Have you ever done the day pass at the hotel by the pier. Some think like El Centro.

Now we are just the opposite from most others. We have Nachi booked for October because we want to go to a place and chill for a while away from the crowds. Nachi's only let a limited number of people reserve so that is ok with us so if boring then that is cool with us!

Sanchos is unlimited from a "limited" menu i.e. Not everything is available that is on the a la carte menu, but a good selection nevertheless.

We have done day passes by the port to El CID and Park Royal.

So how was El Cid? Did you book in advance or just show up

There is so much drinks and food at the ship that I might need a break from all of that.

For some reasons my family and I always prefer to visit paradise beach instead.

El Cid used to offer two passes, not sure if this is still the case as it has been a few years since we have been. Both passes could be purchased on the day in the lobby. One was AI for around $50+ and the other was about $20 to use all facilities, including WiFi, with $10 credit towards food and drink. We have done the less expensive one when we have just wanted a few hours off the ship, or after an early excursion, once we were able to do just PAYG. We have enjoyed the location for a few hours but it feels small and closed in for a longer visit.

When we have wanted full AI or longer stay, I prefer to go to Park Royal next door. Choice of several pools, couple of snack bars and inside buffet for lunch if you want to escape the heat. Cost used to be less than El Cid for AI but I think it is now also about $50. Again purchase in the lobby on the day, pass available 11-6pm. Value depends on port hours, (you can arrive earlier but food and drinks are not available until 11). Both offer very easy day with no transport necessary from International. We have visited Park Royal with young children for this reason.

You used to be able to book El CID in advance (at least full pass and alternative twilight pass) through a couple of brokers but they were more expensive than direct on the day.

Email hotels directly for current pricing and offers.

We loved Nachi. One of the best days we've experienced in our travels to Mexico. The food was excellent, plenty of drinks and a beautiful beach.
