Too Crowded?

The day we dock in Cozumel, Cruise TT says there will be five ships with a total capacity of over 21,000 people in port. For anyone that has been to Cozumel, does that sound like the port/town will be really crowded? Is it really worth getting off the ship when there are this many people in port at the same time?

Oct 2017 we were in Cozumel with 7 ships docked. It wasn't that bad. The city is built for tourists and keeping them happy.

5 ships is about normal for Cozumel, one of the most popular pots in the Caribbean. Don't sweat the crowds, just do your homework and plan the activities you want. Lots of beach clubs to choose from, with a variety of amenities and options. If you are worried about crowds check out Nachi Cocom - limited to 130 guests per day, AI for about $55 per adult, with great food, drinks & service, lots of shade, and a quiet/relaxing atmosphere. :cool:

I've been there with six ships in port and it didn't feel crowded. Keep in mind that most of the people will be on excursions spread out all over the island.
