Autoprogreso pickup on pier at ship?

Do the tours booked directly with Autoprogreso pick up at the cruise ship, or do we need to ride into town first? The Dzibilchaltun tour listed is more than $20 cheaper than Carnival's offering of the same tour, but I don't want the headache of tracking down a depot off of the pier. Of course, that may be why it's considered different.

Carnival will match the price if it's offering the exact same thing. You will receive 110% of the difference in obc. The form is on Carnival's website.

Sorry, it appears I cleaned out some information from my post just before releasing it. Carnival has already reported that they don't consider the two excursion the same.

Autoprogreso tours check in at the terminal in town. You take the pier shuttle to the terminal, sit through a short spiel about their tours, and get off. If you booked through a site like Shore Excursioneer you pay your balance to Shiela in the corner booth and wait for the tour. If you booked direct you can check in with any of the "tour councelors" as you get off the bus. Then you get on your van or bus for your tour. Chichen Itza leaves at 9, Uxmal at 9:30. They offer six or seven tours, including a short city tour. In our case the guide introduced himself there and we waited for any more people, including folks getting off the bus and buying on the spot. After the tour we were taken directly back to the port area, no stop in town unless you wanted to.

Port shuttle runs every 20 minutes. You really don't need to get to the terminal until 10 minutes before the tour, although they have a lot of vendors there to browse and a small snack shop. Restrooms require tipping if you need TP.

If you book through the ship you don't have to go to the terminal and wait for the tour. In our case all the ship tours had food stops and we wanted to just spend time at the ruins. There are also a ton of other operators that will meet you at the terminal or the straw market and will customize a tour, so you don't have to use this company. We found the Autoprogreso folks to be friendly and gave good value for their product. We had 6 customers plus guide and driver in 11 passenger van. Four spoke fluent Spanish and guide shifted seamlessly between Spanish and English.
