crusinpsychRN Posted March 17, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 17, 2018 I feel really bad since I don't have a cruise booked. Need to sign on as soon as possible.
Rare sparks1093 Posted March 17, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 17, 2018 Right there with you, it just seems so weird. But I can't really book until my school publishes the schedule for next year.
salty dingo Posted March 17, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 17, 2018 It's great to have that booked cruise to look forward to. But you can always window shop. I do that often, trying to figure out the next cruise. A couple of times I came close, but the dates were just not when I was looking to go. One of these days, I'll be retired and dates won't matter :D!
Joebucks Posted March 17, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 17, 2018 About a month ago, I was in the same boat (pun not intended). Now, I have two booked. Feels good!
Expat Cruise Posted March 17, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 17, 2018 NCL $1.00 Deposits and you will have a booked cruise.
funat55 Posted March 17, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 17, 2018 I often book over a year in advance for a big cruise, but I will sometimes do a 3 day weekend cruise just to keep me happy until the week long one comes.
Rare sparks1093 Posted March 17, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 17, 2018 NCL $1.00 Deposits and you will have a booked cruise. Money isn't the issue, time is. I doubt that NCL would come close to what CCL's fare would be but I would of course still check it because sometimes it is lower.

Rare Jamman54 Posted March 17, 2018 #9 Share Posted March 17, 2018 One of these days, I'll be retired and dates won't matter :D! Exactly! Once Patti retired we went bonkers. We book way in advance and in most cases get the best prices. For example, we booked our Splendor Hawaii cruise for April 2019 more than two years out. To book that same cruise now, a year out, would cost us $1200 more. We have all of our 2018 & 2019 cruises booked, plus the first two in 2020. A total of ten altogether. I always try to book during a reduced deposit sale so I don't have a lot of money tied up in deposits. My PVP and I are very good friends! :D
bradm77 Posted March 17, 2018 #10 Share Posted March 17, 2018 The struggle is REAL. Millions suffer from PCD (Post-Cruise Depression) each and every year. But Carnival is here to help!! We may someday find a cure to PCD, but until we do, you can at least treat the symptoms by taking a "book another one" pill....... Side effects may include sunburn, empty wallet, weight gain, and accumulation of plastic trophies.
Rare Keith1010 Posted March 17, 2018 #11 Share Posted March 17, 2018 It's always nice to have another cruise book even if it is not for awhile to look forward to. Keith
livetocruise2005 Posted March 17, 2018 #12 Share Posted March 17, 2018 It's a bummer not having a cruise booked. We decided early last year, that we can't be happy without a booked cruise, or two, or three, or as now, four! We had gone 5 months without one booked, and the winter blues were getting the best of us. Getting on the Breakaway Transatlantic in 4 weeks. Pretty excited since it is our first transatlantic. sgttami Posted March 17, 2018 #13 Share Posted March 17, 2018 I was just on Pride in February and March and got another repeat casino offer. I couldn't let it just sit there so I'm going again on Pride 4/8 to Bermuda.. Feeling more relaxed now...LOL:D:D:D
CoasterJoe Posted March 17, 2018 #14 Share Posted March 17, 2018 We're going to be on the miracle for Halloween this year. I still remember you "butts up" costume from the legend a few years back. My Escape Cruise was $1k cheaper for a family of four than our Vista cruise this year. Escape was during Spring Break and Vista in August. On Escape we got free drinks and specialty dining plus $100 in arcade tokens and 50 free pictures. Just depends I guess. marshhawk Posted March 18, 2018 #19 Share Posted March 18, 2018 I have two cruises booked one paid for the other not, but they are a year apart, and I don't think I can go a whole year without one in the winter months to break up winter. I do have a land vacation planned in September but I haven't done a land vacation in a long time. A bit nervous. I will be surrounded by water, but it's not just outside the window. I will have to cook, at least two meals a day, not sure I can handle it. What have I done??????????
Cruzlover7 Posted March 18, 2018 #20 Share Posted March 18, 2018 I was feeling your pain. We typically cruise in December each year. This year we will be celebrating my parents 60 th anniversary and while celebrating on the beach in Florida for a week, it was as killing me not to cruise. I watched and watched and finally used a Premier offer to book the Horizon at the end of September. I didn’t get a Havana Cabana, but a cove balcony will work just fine. First time we will sail during hurricane season, I have purchased cruise insurance and hopefully won’t need it. I hope you sail soon. JohnSpo Posted March 18, 2018 #21 Share Posted March 18, 2018 In the past I have booked my next cruise while on board the current one. With the reduced $50 OBC and having to book Early Saver that , I won't be booking while on board unless Carnival is offering additional OBC or special fare. My next cruise will be in April. It will be strange to not book a future cruise while on board. I'll see what happens.
