Any suggestions for something to do on our own in Liverpool that does not involve the Beatles and can be done walking or via cab?

Also, understanding that British Isles weather is always unpredictable, what do you suggest for touring? Will pants/jeans, a shirt and a lightweight rain jacket do it most days?

Albert Dock is within walking distance and has Tate Modern art gallery and other museums. There is a HOHO bus (I have not done personally). You can also walk into town and take guided walks or go shopping -- I was crew returning laden with goodies.

Hello ggo85,

Some sights in Liverpool not related to The Beatles are:

The Royal Liver Buildings, home to the first passenger linesto AmericaGreat religious buildings such as LiverpoolMetropolitan Cathedral and the Anglican Cathedral.

Regarding clothing, comfortable walking shoes and layeredclothing are recommended .
