Sea Princess ahead of schedule on world cruise

Wondering whether there was a medical emergency or weather-related reason for arriving early. Every hour at the dock costs $00,000’s so a ship doesn’t usually arrive that early unless it’s a necessity.

No weather issues. Could have been an urgent medical case...happens occasionally....

It could be simply a tide/current issue. At certain combinations of state of tide and current, the turn into the slipway at the Manhattan terminal is very difficult. Their choices could have been get in 6 hours early, or 4-6 hours late. Sounds like they were scheduled right at the wrong time for the tides.

The Oceania Insignia didn't seem to have any problem...she came in around 0700...:confused:
