Where do you stay in Barbados?

We have always stayed at the Hilton before our SD voyages. It is in a beautiful location and has a beautiful pool and a very nice beach. Not far from the airport and not far from the cruise ship port. Of course it is not quaint because it is a typical Hilton. We have always been satisfied with staying there.

We also have always stayed at the Hilton, and we have been satisfied. We travel with friends who stay at Sandy Lane, and they love it, but it is very expensive. I've also heard good things about The House, but we've never stayed there.

We have stayed at the Hilton before our cruise, also, but last time we opted for Rostrevor in St Lawrence Gap. More economical, nice pool and beach, close to restaurants. Nothing fancy in decor but comfy for a night or two. (The Gap, of course, is considered Party Central of Barbados, but was pretty quiet when we were there,) The Rostrevor definitely has the real Caribbean atmosphere going for it while the Hilton has the reliable Hilton atmosphere going for it. Depends on what you want, I guess.

We usually stay at the Crane. They have accommodations ranging from a hotel room to penthouses with private rooftop pools. Small shopping village and a variety of good restaurants including Zen, a delicious Thai/Japanese that is highly rated.

Just stayed at the Hilton before leaving on a cruise. The executive lounge was very convenient and beach is great. It's about halfway between airport and cruise terminal and within walking distance of several local restaurants as others have noted. Tour desk was able to book us on on excursion we weren't able to get since it was sold out on line so that was a plus - and it was best value for our choices.
