The bread was delicious.

I had the New England Clam Chowder. I love how they combine the ingredients right at the table.

We both had the Surf & Turf. I had already taken the lobster tail out of the shell when I remembered to take the picture.

We closed out our last night in the Haven Lounge. This was such an awesome spot. The bartenders, Miraslav and Ezekiel, were incredible, as was the entire Haven staff. They truly make you feel important.

We also met some wonderful people in the Haven. Jane from England, Michael and Robert, Jason and Brett, JoJo and Tom, and Dan. Truly an amazing experience!

On Saturday, the Concierge staff had held an informational session in the lounge about the disembarkation and provided a nice package of information. It made our last day very easy. Since we were staying overnight in Miami, we did not leave until 9:20 AM, after a leisurely breakfast at the Haven restaurant. We received our usual escort down to the door, where we merged in with everyone else. The good news was that our luggage, with the priority tags they had provided, was located right before the customs checkout.

Final thoughts:

Overall, the trip met or exceeded our expectations in almost every way. The food was excellent, except for Tropicana and Shanghai's. The entertainment was outstanding, truly a world-class experience. My DW and I felt we definitely received our money's worth out of both the UBP and the SDP. Our excursions were very good, with Harvest Caye being the highlight of this trip. The staff we dealt with were all attentive, friendly and very efficient. The Haven was an outstanding experience. My DW and I have already starting planning our next Haven adventure, preferring to take a trip in the Haven every other year than a regular cruise more often.

As with all vacations, there were a few minor issues. We will learn from these for our future cruises:

Having read so many complaints on CC about lounger hogs around the main pool, I never expected to find this in the Haven. Unfortunately, we did. There are some people that simply do not understand common courtesy and will place their "clips" on the limited number of loungers and then go to breakfast, go to naps, etc. I guess the Haven is not immune to rude, inconsiderate people as well.

The remote controls for the televisions on the Getaway are very frustrating. They can only be used within a few feet of the TV and only when directly in front.

The TP in the restrooms is not good. Quite a challenge. We plan to bring our own in the future.

Overall, I give this trip a big thumbs up.

Great review! Thanks for doing it. Anoop was our concierge on the BA last year. He is the BEST! I’m glad you had a great cruise. Time to start planning the next one![emoji568][emoji898]

Great review! We were in the Haven on the Getaway in May, and a lot changed. We did not have that separate area of the Miami port with the cushy gold chairs. Very nice touch! Plus one downside was our concierge, but we did not have Anoop. Sounds like he was great. We also loved our pool cabana at HC, and I agree with your thoughts, I don’t know what the other posters are complaining about, we thought the whole island was very nice.

Awesome review!! Thank you so much for posting! BTW, do you think the "Mr. Worldwide" drink would be available at a different (non-Haven) bar if it was asked for? Sounds so tasty!

The Mr. Worldwide is definitely available shipwide (and fleetwide.)

Thanks for review of the TP, it gave me a chuckle. We will be on the Getaway in Dec. & know I will be prepared for that challenge. :D:D

I have wondered if this would actually be allowed. Since the plumbing on the ships isn't the same as at your house, I had assumed the "quality" of the TP had more to do with what is actually flush-able on board and less to do with cost savings. Otherwise you'd expect to see higher quality TP in the Haven, right? I am sure "flushable" wipes are NOT an option...
