Track ship

If you have a smart phone and are using the Internet on the ship, you can download either the Cruise Ship Mate app, which is great - packed with a lot of information and a social networking site of its own, or an app called Marine Traffic - this is neat because you can track other ships in the area, even freight ships etc.

I have both on my phone and recommend them both.

Don't know about Carnival but most ships we've been on have a TV channel designated something like "Ship Information" that includes a map showing itinerary & current location, as well as speed, direction, sea conditions, etc.
