Things to do in Montego Bay?

We're on the Magic 3/24 with a stop in Montego Bay. Not sure about Jamaica and it seems you have to have some sort of plan when there. Looking for a resort-style atmosphere with pools, nice beach, reasonably priced with transfers. Hearing mixed reviews about Sunset Beach and Hilton Rose seems a bit too expensive. Anyone know of a nice, clean place for family of four? Someplace where we can do a little snorkeling would be great as well.

Thanks!:)

My Wife and Daughters got a cab and asked to go to a private beach. They had to pay about $10 each at the beach, and everything else was extra (tubes, boogie boards, snorkeling equipment). They had a good time. I went on the all-day Appleton Rum tour - the ride was the most exciting part. 3+ hours of winding, rough roads to get there.....and same coming back. Several people got car sick from the ride. Have a good time! Jamaica was not my favorite port, but better than our stop in the Dominican Republic a few years back.
