We are going to rent a car in Maui so we can do the Old Lahana Luau. We want to turn the car in so we can take a tour the next day. Has anyone don the luau and turned car in afterwards? Would like to know what time you got back to airport rental car place and are they still open? I have found the name & number of cab co to take us back to port but don't want to go back next day to turn in car....any help would be appreciated.

In Googling several rental agencies at Kahului Airport, we see that 11 p.m. seems to be the standard closing time for them. Unless there is a problem on the highway somewhere, you should be back to the airport in under an hour and with time to spare. Please don't take our word as gospel though, and do call your rental car agency location to confirm their closing time and how late their shuttle runs to the harbor.
