My wife and I will be cruising on the Magica along with my parents (who will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary) , my mother-in-law, and sister-in-law. All the recent reviews sound great! Can't wait for some fun and a little R&R. Anyone else going to be on board with us?

Also, I've not seen any postings on the casino's in Puerto Rico. Has anybody that's been on prior cruises ventured towards the Condato after docking?

My 17 year old daughter and I will be on the Magica 4/2. This is the first time on this cruise line and to these ports for us.Have sailed Carnival 4 times previously. I am not using the ships tours this time - will book on my own. Hope it turns out!

Well! It's great to know someone else will be crusing with us. This will be my wife's (and her mom's) first cruise. I haven't been on one in quite some time, myself. Just from reading the reviews, I think we're in for a good time. We haven't booked any excursions. There doesn't seen to be much time in Puerto Rico. So, I think we'll catch a taxi and go down to the Condato and check out the hotels. Check out some of the web sites for St. Thomas/Virgin Islands. They seem to have some good excursions you can book yourself. $25-$30 per person and they'll take you to the beach for a few hours and then shopping (If that's your thing). Other than that, we may just play it by ear. Hope to meet you on the ship. We shouldn't be hard to find. We'll be celebrating!!!icon14.gif

Hey guys! It's great to hear so many people are joining us.

Hey Karinvan -- Our DS is going with us as well, and is 17 also. He was very happy to hear about your DD.;)

It will be here before we know it -- Our DD and I have been trying to start getting our stuff together for the trip. We can't wait!

Hey cool cruiser, I'm pretty sure our kids will meet up if your son likes to hang out in the teen lounge.

Are we in San Juan from Tues at 5p through Wed at 1am?? That's the way I read my itinerary but someone mentioned that we don't have much time there.

Hey, Karinvan -- We're in San Juan only during the evening hours that Tuesday, and then we dock in St. Thomas early Wednesday morning. I went ahead and booked the biolumenescent kayaking tour for our family for that night. We'll see how that is.

DS is a social bee -- I guarantee your DD will meet him. He kept asking me if I'd found anyone online that was his age. It's Spring break -- I'm sure there will be no shortage of teenagers on this cruise.

Do you have anything planned on any of the islands? Other than the bio tour, we've decided to rent a car in St. Thomas and hit some of the beaches and shops. In the Dominican Republic, we just want a lazy beach day, but we're still considering the show that evening. Everyone here on CC raves about it, and I'm afraid we're missing out if we don't go. In Nassau, our time is pretty short. I'm going to play it spontaneous, I think. DD and I are starting to get more organized. I still need a swimsuit. It's coming fast now -- Only six and a half weeks everybody!

My Wife and I our two 11 year old daughters and my Parents will be on board.

We've signed up for the bioluminescent Tour as well. I'm hoping it won't be too stressfull for my parents. You only have to be 8 to go on it so I figured it can't be that difficult.

Doing a day sail in St Thomas with Rumbaba. If it's half as good as the website says I'll be ecstatic. (Should be for the price!) I like St Thomas but St Johns is beautiful.

I'm really looking forward to the private Island (Catalina) These are usually my favorite stops on a cruise. A relaxing day on the beach without having to worry about where to eat or getting back to the Ship on time. Not sure about the big show that night. That may be a game day decision.

This will be my 3rd cruise that stops in Nassau in the last 6 months. We've done the shopping thing and the blue lagoon tours (not offered on Costa) So a trip to Atlantis might be in order.

Anyone planning a sailaway party? Looking forward to it. 47 days and counting.

Hey Cheryl

Thanks for setting me straight on our time in San Juan. I decided not to do the bio bay tour because of the 2 1/2 hr bus ride . We'll just do our own walking tour in San Juan. . I booked a scuba diving outing on St. Thomas and the light show on Casa de CAmpo. Only 4 more weeks of cold, snowy weather. Wind chill here in MI is 10 degrees today.:(

Anyone heard about an electric bike tour on Catalina Island that goes to Dominical Village?

Hi Karin. I did read about that bike ride in my ticket packet a couple of days ago. It does sound really fun. My kids both just want to hang out at the beach that day though, so I guess we're going to forego an excursion there. I think I'm going to go ahead and book the show that evening though -- It sounds really good.)

It's cold here too (Indianapolis) - I think the 20s this morning. I'm still trying to get organized, and still trying to find a swimsuit!:o I'm planning to go out and try again today. Our daughter has a dance competition tomorrow, so I'll have to work it in around her practice I guess.

Have a great day everybody. Just over four weeks now!!!!!

I've got everything laid out in our office now -- and I'm making our final lists. It is really coming fast now, and I can't wait! :D It's supposed to snow here for the next couple of days (Indianapolis) -- That definitely makes me more ready than ever. Have a great night -- and come visit our official roll call on the roll call thread.
