On Board Charging Account

The answer depends on how much you charge and how long the cruise is. Because some cards will reject large charges and go thru fraud protection, etc. they generally charge your card when the outstanding balance exceeds $400. This figure may have increased recently; I don't think it would have decreased. On long cruises or for concierge guests, I've seen them increase that amount. They will use up any onboard credit, Disney Visa reward dollars. or other "funny money" before anything is charged to your card.

For instance, when we did a $600 (with tip, etc) couple's spa villa for 2, we were billed for all charges up to that point--started over again at zero. They didn't just bill $400--they billed everything we'd charged before that and that, so there was something like $800 to our card. Then there was another charge on the last night.

So yes, it is totally possible to have a single charge on the last day, but it is also possible to have a charge to your card every day of the cruise.
