July 7th Silhouette to Baltics

As we have been incredibly unlucky with this cruise as regards quays/docks can we rely on Celebrity not to capitalise on cruisers misfortune and provide free shuttle buses.

Copenhagen docking at Oceankaj an industial area which is 5 miles from the city centre

Rostock Seehafen another industrial area 5 miles from city centre.

Both of these places are in the middle of nowhere in industrial areas and not what we would normally expect from Celebrity as you can see from where the rest of the ships in the Baltics itineraries this year dock.

Nynashamn although a long way from Stockholm there is actually a choice to stay in the local area but still disappointing as Celebrity usually sail the archipelago. Will a boat trip of the archipelago be offered.

Hello Mr SeaGull, the shuttle information will be provided onboard the ship. Usually the OnboardShip Management Team reviews the shuttle service needs depending on ship berthing position, and distance between the ports and the city center. If there is anycost related then, that information will also be advised onboard the ship. As far as Nynasham, usually it is offered an Archipelago tour inStockholm, however it does not start in Nynasham.

So in other words this trip is a revenue capture to see if we can get guests to stump up exorbitant prices for shuttle buses. If it works we can keep using the docks furthest out.

So Nynashamn misses the archipelago on the way in/out and no tour offer whilst there, just spend the day travelling to see anything worthwhile.

We sailed on Norwegian Star to the Baltic several years ago and one of the highlights was sailing the Archipelago. Bitterly disappointed to find out that Celebrity are missing it out.
