CB changing port times on Kirkwall cruise 5/23/17 per emails

i have received 2 emails from Princess saying our port time in Cork and Edinburgh have been shortened due to : "operational reasons". Is the ship even out of dry dock? How can they predict this so soon?

"operational reasons" could possibly mean PORT goings ons and not anything to do with the ship. Likely there is a congestion issue is my guess. This has happened to me in the past.

It's been out of dry dock. It just finished a cruise I believe.

I just received an Itinerary Change email on my August 5th Caribbean Princess cruise also. They are arriving at South Queensferry one hour later shortening the time there - also for operational reasons.

Probably something to do with the Port Authority; customs/immigration and/or pilot availability. The other problem could tidal.

Same for our late August cruise -- arriving one hour later in Edinburgh. My guess was a port issue.

Mike, our June 18th cruise itinerary for Edinburgh arrival has changed also to 8am.

The July 12th & 24th cruises also have a 1 hour later port arrival time changes for Edinburgh. The port departure time from Cork has been shortened from 6:00 pm to 4:30 pm on the July 24th cruise. All of this is per emails from Princess.

Mike, our June 18th cruise itinerary for Edinburgh arrival has changed also to 8am.

I hadn't checked as we have been spending an hour reading our son's blog from his trip to India.

I haven't received any notice from Princess yet. However, when I logged into my cruise, leaving 6/30/17, I did see that the arrival time into Edinburgh is now 8 a.m. instead of 7 a.m. None of our other port times have changed, however.

We have 4 cruises booked some with Princess and others with NCL. All have time changes, I checked when I saw the change on this one, and we have had no notifications. One is an earlier embarkation departure!!

Caveat Emptor!!

If you booked with a travel agent then the notification went to them, but you should see a note in your Cruise Personalizer.
