Antigua shore excursions hampered by early departure ... advice?

Freedom of the Seas is in Antigua from 7-3 on Jan. 24.

I haven't had much luck booking a shore excursion, despite good advice on these boards, because of the early departure ...

Adventure Antigua sent this: Due to the early departure of your ship we are unable to accept your booking. We usually pick up cruise ship passengers at 8:50am and return at 3:10pm.We will have to return the latest for your to get your ship at 2:30pm and we cannot modify the return time.

Creole Antigua says Depar*ture is 9.45 am and we return at 3.45pm.

Any advice for an excursion that falls between these times?

this may be the day that you go to a beach and snorkel there for the day or use a ship excursion. What is it that you wanted to do on Antigua? Water sports? Sting rays? Snorkeling?

Maybe a cruise line tour?

Cruise line tour might be the solution. I guess snorkeling or maybe Stingray City is high on our list. We be from Minnesota and we be cold now and we want to be hot hot hot then.

Bummer, thanks for posting this. We're in port 10-6 and was looking at Adventure Antigua... looks like that's out :(

Sometimes i wonder if short port stops like these are to encourage folks to book through the cruise ship...
