If you just stay on the ferry roundtrip, what is the price. $3.50?

That sounds right. The 3 zone token for that route is $2.75. So two tokens would be $5.50. I always use tokens or passes on the ferry and bus system myself, never have used cash. And none would use cash taking the ferry from the Hamilton ferry terminal.
