Splash Island Water Park

Hi There!

We are going to St. Lucia in April and was looking into the "Splash Island Water Park." We have been to Paradise Beach in Cozumel and was looking for a place similar. Water toys/sports, beautiful beach to relax, drinks in hand, etc.

What are you thoughts and reviews of this beach club. Is it worth the money?

Splash Island is not even remotely a beach Club like Paradise Beach or Nachi Com or such in Cozumel.

It is a splash pad with several different climbing routes, bounce areas, etc in the ocean off the beach.. Thete are several beach restaurants and bars right in the area to buy lunch or drinks, but it's not an AI experience or inclusive of other watersports, etc (which are also available, ie parasailing, jet skis, etc). Those all cost extra. Beach is fully public, chairs and umbrellas for rent if you want.

Splash Island is good fun, for sure. But it's not anything like the beach clubs in Cozumel..

Reduit Beach is generally regarded as one of the best on the island, and the Splash Island water park deal with transport included can't be beat. Otherwise, you're looking St $30USD one way.

I'd love to hear more about Splash Island as well...$30 kind of seems like a lot for what it is, but maybe I'm just being cheap, LOL. Is it something that our 2 kids, aged 10 and 11, could do on their own while Mom and Dad hang on the beach, or do they need constant supervision? Do you swim out to it? How long do you realistically spend there? Debating if the 1/2 day is worth it or better to do for an hour.

Realistically, your kids would enjoy anywhere from a half hour to a full day there. Just depends on what they're into. Most folks enjoy jumping and climbing around for a while. Then swimming or relaxing for a while then jumping and climbing around some more, usually at least two to three sessions on the jump/climb/splash pad, with relaxing in between. Reduit Beach where it's located, has multiple different watersports to hire also, so very easy to augment your time there with other things or just chillaxing on the beach or having lunch..

The hour long pass likely wouldn't be long enough, but you know your kids best. Yes, they can swim out and enjoy it themselves, it's not something you have to do with them. There's lifeguards on duty all around it specifically, they'll be wearing life jackets, and it's not in very deep waters and located in a protected Bay. Of course, you should at least be paying attention to them though.. That's a given...
