Noordam or Westerdam for Alaska?

Which would you choose? The itineraries appear to be identical. I am flexible on dates. Would like to sail in a Neptune Suite so if one has better onboard amenities that could be a tipping point.

Noordam still has the wonderful, traditional library space. I just cancelled the Westerdam over this very issue, so I would take the Noordam over any other Vista ship.

The ships are almost twins. Suite amenities are the same fleetwide. Have sailed on both. Would sail on both anytime.

We also have sailed on both ships quite a few times.

Westerdam's Crow's Nest has been done over. There isn't much of a library left -- a couple of shelves where people have book exchange going on. In its place is the new EXC. The Explorations Cafe is now part of the Bar area and has only a few treats to offer.

The Noordam still has her dedicated Library and Explorations Cafe on the Promenade Deck.

Therefore I would select the Noordam.

The Noordam has not had a refurb for quite awhile. We were on Last year in a signature suite that was very dated. It still had the small desk mounted TVs. The rest of the ship looked good. We also had some plumbing issues. I would check as I think the Westerdam may have been updated.

Westerdam has new pricing arrangement for WIFI. Unlimited minutes for 3 different plans.

It is also updated. But the Crow's Nest is now all about excursions....no library.

Therefore, I would take the Noordam - no contest!
